I'm a writer and director living in Toronto. I started my career writing and directing on teen shows like Degrassi, Radio Free Roscoe and the Emmy-award winning Dino Dana. My short films have collected awards at festivals across the world, including a Canadian Screen Award for Best Short Film.
In 2018, my nagging love of prose inspired me to pursue post-graduate studies in Professional Writing. Regardless of the medium, my writing always comes from the same place: an endless need to explore life in all its messiness. I regularly tilt my head towards the couple at the next table. It's a reflex. Our stories connect us and our shared experiences remind us that we're not alone. My writing services cover a broad spectrum from magazines, to digital media, to television pilots, to script analysis. I have a particular fondness for naturalistic first-person writing like blog posts and memoir, but am equally at home with service journalism and copywriting. writing & editing
I write magazine articles, profiles, blogs, and web copy. I also offer editing services to tighten and streamline your project. Additionally, I offer ghostwriting services. I also have working knowledge of Canva.
screenwriting & story editing
As a screenwriter, I can collaborate on your television concept, do a rewrite of your pilot and tighten dialogue. I also offer story editing services to identify structural problems and story holes.
script analysis
I can give you feedback on your feature film project in the form of a reader's report. The report includes a plot summary and an analysis of story, themes, structure, and dialogue. Clients include: the Harold Greenberg Fund, Telefilm Canada, Canadian Film Centre and the CBC.
directing
